A Steinway With Its Original Character
Rather than undergoing a comprehensive rebuilding in which many of the original components are replaced, this Model L has been selectively and thoughtfully restored. The work concentrated on the components most important to tuning stability and action performance while preserving the piano's original soundboard, rim, bridges, keys, cabinet, and other factory components.
The result is a 1999 New York Steinway Model L that retains its original character while benefiting from carefully selected restoration work—an excellent combination for the pianist who appreciates the distinctive sound and craftsmanship of a Steinway & Sons piano from the late 20th century.
